Meet the Founder
I’m Thomas Kelly, a lifelong Lutheran, multimedia producer, and the founder of Phoenix Anthem, LLC. Faith-Focused Storytelling. Mission-Driven Design. Christ-Centered Results. My journey into creative ministry began with the launch of Thomas Kelly Productions, LLC, where I served small businesses and nonprofits through photography, promotional video, and website design. This came after earning a second college degree in Broadcast Journalism and History. When the pandemic hit in 2020, client marketing budgets disappeared. Like so many others, my business collapsed.
A New Mission is Born
Rather than walk away from the work I loved, I pivoted. In early 2021, I began volunteering at my home congregation, Trinity Lutheran Church, School, and Childcare in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. There I am an active member, serve on the Board of Christian Day School, and help lead the media ministry.
What started with simple Bible study recordings quickly grew into a full livestreaming ministry. By God’s grace, I helped Trinity launch and manage a $50,000 capital campaign that upgraded livestream production and expanded Gospel reach to members at home and in the community.
Growing in Service to the LCMS
As the need for professional church communications grew, LCMS congregations began partnering with me to strengthen their visual identity, digital presence, and outreach strategies.
These partnerships, grounded in faith and service, inspired the rebirth of my business as Phoenix Anthem, LLC—a Christ-centered marketing agency and media partner serving Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod ministries across Wisconsin and nationwide.
Why “Phoenix Anthem”?
The name is rooted in resurrection hope.
Just as Christ rose victorious over sin and death, Phoenix Anthem was born from the ashes of collapse of Thomas Kelly Productions, refined and rededicated to His glory.
The word “Anthem” reflects our mission: like a hymn of praise, our work magnifies the message of Christ crucified and risen through storytelling, design, and digital media.
From Pulpit to Platform
Today, Phoenix Anthem helps LCMS congregations with full-scale website design, video production, sermon series branding, school enrollment campaigns, district consulting, and livestream training. Every project is crafted with care, rooted in Lutheran theology, and driven by a single goal: to help ministries clearly and creatively proclaim Christ crucified for the forgiveness of sins.

I hold an Associate of Science in Computer Science, along with Bachelor of Arts degrees in History and Journalism. A firm believer in lifelong learning, I’m always seeking new ways to grow in both skill and service. One of my long-term goals is to pursue a Master’s degree at Concordia University Wisconsin, further equipping me to serve the Church through media and communication.
This educational foundation—blending technical ability, historical awareness, and storytelling—has uniquely shaped the work I do for LCMS congregations, helping them communicate their identity clearly and faithfully in a digital world.
