This radiant stained glass panel portrays the Agnus Dei—the Lamb of God—bearing the victorious banner of the Resurrection. Rooted in John 1:29, where John the Baptist proclaims, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!”, this image encapsulates the central confession of the Church: that Jesus Christ is the spotless Lamb, slain and risen, who alone redeems mankind.
The banner with the cross affirms Christ’s triumph over sin, death, and the devil. In the Lutheran tradition, this image stands at the heart of our liturgy and life.
